Question about The Watchmen

Reading the comic book, and can't understand one subplot:

There is an indian woman drawing a picture of a womb for some blonde guy; later they are on a ship with the picture near and the ship explodes.



Any ideas?

All the artists were captured to make the alien (along with scientists, etc), and she was one of them. The blonde guy is Ozymandias, aka the bad guy paying for the artists and the one who blows up the ship.
