It sounds fake, should definitely have a serial number, look it up.
Unless you can play it before you buy it and are satisfied, don't do it.
I'm sensing some sort of rip off. The guy has pictures and claims it is indeed a second hand Mexican Strat, but there must be no way in hell he is selling it for so cheap correct?
No that I'm in a fix here, since the guy promised that I could try the guitar first. But really, 100US for a second hand Mexican Strat when new ones sell for about 500US?
I'll attach the pictures he posted if that's necessary. The guitar looks brand new.
EDIT 1: The guy said the guitar has no serial number. Does that mean the guitar's probably a fake?

I did more research and the Interwebs says that no serial number probably means a Squier. Or a custom made guitar. Of course, I can try the guitar (and the voice on the other end of the phone sounded like a kid who I can probably squeeze) but I really want to know if there is any easy way of confirming whether or not the guitar is Mexican or not.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm Mexican and I find that offensive. *opens his chest panel to reveal Hecho En Mexico*
Heh. Anyway I found out it's a fake. Thanks for the help.
