Thread: WCRs' "new" sci-fi / fantasy book recommendations?

    I liked Riftwar saga and pretty much everything Raymond E. feist wrote. Also hitchikers guide to the galaxy is amazing (download the BBC radio series if you can its great) and Douglas adams wrote some other nice sci fi books.. hmm WoT series was allright (I liked Feists stuff alot more). I liked the "asassins apprentice" series by robin hobb aswell as "liveship traders" (although I ruined both of those for myself but whatever). And enders game ofcourse..

    better than LotR, deeper than Dune = Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe

    A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K Leguin <- the book that made me want to be a writer. it is liquid poetry written in prose. if you read it you will understand where the concept of Harry Potter came from (it was written 30 years before the 1st harry potter book).
