    GPU oveheating

    Hey all!
AS there are some pc- pros on wcr, i just wanted to post my little problem here.

2 weeks ago I noticed that sometimes while playing sc2, my screen just went in standby mode and wouldn't come back, as the pc keeps running (audio goes on).
It happened to me 3 times that night and only a reboot would make it possible to see something again.

for 2 weeks after that night everything was good. yesterday, I encountered this problem again. I lost 4 games due to my graphics shutting off.

My GPU temperature goes up from 61°c to 100°c in 5 minutes of playing sc2.
Now I really fear playing again.

The funny thing is, that the sc2 grapics settings (no matter if I have them on high or low,) do not change anything in whats happening.

    I have a geforce gt 220,
bios settings are good, repaired sc2 and reinstalled drivers.

I really dont want to buy a new graphics card. Any ideas?

Remove all dust from the heatsinks, check the fan is working on it.
