So I just got my body fat checked today. Last year at this time I was 135 lbs and 10% body fat. One year later I am 148 pounds and 9%. I've always had trouble gaining weight so this is pretty huge for me. (For reference I'm only 5'10'').
Exactly, which is why he can't have done it, unless it was a timed window from a longer run.

wowww i'm like 13% bf but im on a bulk
13% is not bad at all for bulking man. I probably could have gained the 12 pounds in half the time if I was more experienced and disciplined in my bulking. Instead my eating was inconsistent and so I was basically microbulking and cutting. So it took me a really long time to gain the weight and I probably wasn't as efficient as I could've been. But I'm very cut right now so I guess it worked out in the end.
