Does Wand of Mana Stealing wake a unit up?

If I put a hero to sleep, then use the Wand of Mana Stealing on the hero does it wake it up?
I could probably find out just by testing but I'm just wondering if anyone knows offhand.

Yes, if I'm not mistaken, any effect done on a sleeping unit will wake it up.

However I think I read something somewhere about Blood mage able to drain mana while beign banished without waking up creeps.

EDIT: Yeap I just tested it, it works however with Drain mana skill at lvl 1 you will only be able to gain the mana that you wasted on banishing the creep so not point at all to do it, at least on lvl 1.
