Linux question

i have a program.
it's called progtest and is in the current directory.

i need a 1-line command that: runs this program in a virtual terminal
then i need a 1-line command that: activates the vertual terminal session
then i need a 1-line comamnd that: runs progtest in the background (redirects the data to progtest.res)
