what interface your motherboard supports? anyway western digital or seagate are the best for 200-250 gb hards.

you could pick-up a 250gb 7200rpm HDD for ~$100. as for company go with seagate or western digital.

you can get a 500gb samsung spinpoint for $100, they're really quiet and reliable

if you really only want 250gb I think there is a samsung spinpoint one for maybe $70-80

Don't buy Samsung drives... Samsung builds great electronics, not hard drives. It's like buying a Thermaltake Fan. >Dumb<

Anyway, 250GB WD = 70$, 320GB = 80$, 500GB is probably around 500GB.
